WLF is seeking heavy equipment mechanics to work in our state-of-the-art shop, supporting one of the leading construction and transportation companies in the northeast.

Our skilled team of mechanics is the driving force behind our ability to meet the goals and needs of our contract schedules. Mechanics are responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and repair on equipment, including hydraulic and diesel engines and electrical systems.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working as a Mechanic with tractors, dump trailers and heavy construction equipment
  • 5+ years hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic systems, and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of Cat ET/SIS
  • Knowledge of Cummins Insite
  • Will train the right candidate

Position Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Must have a complete set of hand tools
  • OSHA 10, Medical Card, Hydraulics license
  • Knowledge of gas and diesel engines
  • Knowledge and experience with electrical and hydraulics
  • Must have the ability to lift, push or pull 70+ pounds, climb heavy equipment, and bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods
  • Must have strong communication and listening skills and be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen
